Glad I found this site! It's nice to see that there are rabid fans in the DC area.
We moved here recently and have found it virtually impossible to find bars that cater to the hockey crowd. Even if the Caps are on TV, baseball or basketball or football usually dominates the screens. And it seems like *no one* has the NHL Centre Ice satellite package.
Maybe a list of "hockey friendly" bars could be posted somewhere?
Hockey friendly bars include The Rock (near MCI), and my favorite, Kilroy's in Springfield. Crystal City Sports Bar is generally amenable to putting hockey on.
There are a bunch out there that will put 'em on if you ask, depends on where you are. I'll start compiling a list, good call on getting that up.
