So no Malkin for the Pens next year, it seems.

Letsgopens.com is struggling through an emotional roller coaster. http://www.letsgopens.com/scripts/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=1&sid=c49178a96009f642b32ce3454b392add

Sucks to be them, but hey, they knew the risks, and we went through something similar with AO at first (but won) and are still going through a struggle with Semin.

What are the early odds that the Russians actually let him go next summer without playing the military card or something?

As I said on my blog linked below, this is starting to get more bizarre than the Semin saga.

According to Reuters, the Russian news agency Itar-Tass is reporting that Malkin has left his Russian club Metallurg Magnitogorsk during training camp in Finland.

Malkin, reportedly disappeared, taking his belongings and passport with him. Earlier this week, the Russian star reworked his two-year contract with Metallurg Magnitogorsk and agreed to a new one-year deal.

Malkin has made no secret of his wishes to play with the Penguins in the National Hockey League. But the Russian Ice Hockey Federation has yet to sign a transfer deal with the NHL and Malkin has found himself in the middle of the impasse.

whay hay!!!
Malkins on the run!
Lets sign him,but give him Majeskiys old jersey, now that would confuse the opposition..
