Many of the areas potentially affected are closer to Baltimore/Washington than Philadelphia. If this happens, local fans will not only lose Caps and Wizards games, but also some Terps games and the substanital coverage of other teams like the Orioles, Nationals, Ravens, Redskins, United, and Mystics that CSN Mid-Atlantic provides.

I've heard that Comcast right now is trying to guage interest as to which version of CSN is more desired in this region. Obviously, many of the franchises listed above, including the Wizards, are regional-type franchises that could certain use the fan loyalty of people in "border" areas in terms of ticket and merchandise sales in order to thrive and acquire the best players possible. And for many, team loyalty in a lot of sports is determined by what happens to be on their televisions at any given time.

I would urge anyone potentially affected to contact Comcast at 1-800-Comcast to register your support for Comcast Mid-Atlantic and also to call Greg Welles, the director of programming and promotions for Comcast in the Hanover, PA area, at 484-288-6556 to do the same. Anyone with any other phone numbers or addresses for Comcast that we could write should please post them. I hear letters are more effective than phone calls in the television industry, but phone numbers are all I have at this point.
